About Amanda Blank
I’ve been drawn to both animals and art for as long as I can remember. I grew up sketching alongside my mom and learning from my dad’s creativity, eventually teaching myself the techniques I use today. After years of study, experimentation, and practice, I found my niche in creating realistic colored pencil pet portraits — work that allows me to combine technical precision with emotional storytelling. Today I create custom pet portraits for clients throughout the United States, celebrating the animals they love with artwork designed to last a lifetime.
I work from my home studio, accepting a limited number of custom commissions at a time. Every portrait is drawn entirely by hand using professional artist-grade materials—whether colored pencils or graphite—never digitally generated, printed, or created with AI. Each commission is thoughtfully planned from start to finish, allowing me to give every portrait the attention and care it deserves — usually with my dog, Beesly, keeping me company nearby.
Every portrait is a personal pursuit: capturing the softness of a muzzle, the expression in a pair of eyes, and the subtle details that make a pet truly one-of-a-kind. My goal is for each portrait to become more than a drawing — it becomes a lasting keepsake that celebrates the unique bond between people and the animals they love.
